You do not type a database username or password. Staq starts a one-time session that can reach only that website&#8217;s database.<\/p>\n<h2>Open phpMyAdmin<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Open the website in Staq Panel.<\/li>\n<li>Go to <strong>Database<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>phpMyAdmin<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/phpmyadmin-nav.png\" alt=\"phpMyAdmin in the Database rail\" \/><\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>Click <strong>Open phpMyAdmin<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/phpmyadmin-open-button.png\" alt=\"Open phpMyAdmin button in Staq Panel\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Allow popups for the Staq app host if the new tab is blocked. Then try again.<\/p>\n<h2>How the session works<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Each launch expires in about a minute. A reused or expired link cannot start a session.<\/li>\n<li>The database password never appears in the tab, the address bar, or Staq Panel.<\/li>\n<li>The session can reach only this website&#8217;s database user. It cannot open other sites on the same server.<\/li>\n<li>The cookie is locked to the phpMyAdmin host. Closing the tab ends the session. Open phpMyAdmin again for a new one.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Other database tools<\/h2>\n<p>Use these when you do not need the full phpMyAdmin UI:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/knowledgebase\/how-to-do-a-search-replace\/\">Search &amp; Replace<\/a> for URL or string changes, including serialized data.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/knowledgebase\/how-to-run-sql-queries\/\">Run SQL Query<\/a> for a single MariaDB statement.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/knowledgebase\/import-a-third-party-sql-database-over-an-existing-website\/\">Import a third-party SQL database<\/a> when you have a full dump.
