From agency frustration to platform<\/h2>\n

Running an agency taught us one thing: managing WordPress at scale is messy. Hosting, updates, security, caching – every piece felt disconnected. We wasted time fixing what should’ve been automated.<\/p>\n

So we built Staq – a platform that makes running WordPress simple, scalable, and stress-free. No investors. No shortcuts. Just a product shaped by agency life and agency needs.<\/p>\n

Why We Built WP Staq<\/h3>\n

We started as agency owners frustrated with a messy WordPress tech stack. Servers, tools, plugins and subscriptions felt disjointed; they never “spoke” with each other. This created inefficient workflows and you had to butcher things to make things work or at least try to automate things.<\/p>\n

Instead of waiting for someone else to solve it, we built Staq. Our mission: give agencies the tools we wish we had – so you can focus on clients, not infrastructure.<\/p>\n 2009\n Built a digital agency business in Australia\n 2017\n Started building the tech based on our agency experience\n 2018\n Alpha release with our first paying customer (excluding our digital agency)\n Sep 2020\n Beta launch with 25 Australian agencies joining\n Aug 2021\n Ceased operating the digital agency to focus on Staq given the traction we were seeing\n Mar 2022\n Out of beta and Staq released as a public product in Australia\n Feb 2025\n Expanded into the USA\n Today\n Profitable, fully bootstrapped, and looking at new markets\n<\/section>\n\n
