If the CDN becomes invalid, it will look like this:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-34437\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/CDN-eerror.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"285\" height=\"239\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When this happens, you can hover over the CDN and you&#8217;ll see some of these error message:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>DNS zone is no longer managed by Staq;<\/li>\n<li>the domain &lt;domain_name.com&gt; no longer points to <em>&lt;unique_code&gt;<\/em>.cloudfront.net<\/li>\n<li>the cdn domain does not point to <em>&lt;unique_code&gt;<\/em>.cloudfront.net<\/li>\n<li>possible issues found in the domain validation process<\/li>\n<li>the domain name has expired<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Is the site still hosted on Staq?<\/h2>\n<p>Firstly, you want to determine that the site is still hosted on Staq if you haven&#8217;t touched any DNS records. To do so, go to Domains:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Domains-Staq-Panel.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Does the domain names show a warning symbol?<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/domain-ip-validation.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If so, you&#8217;ll have to move services back to Staq.<\/p>\n<p>If you see a green tick BUT you&#8217;re having issues with Next-Gen CDN, then there&#8217;s a possibility someone has moved the NS\/DNS records away from Staq. To confirm, follow the steps noted below under\u00a0<strong>Staq Next-Gen CDN<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Checking CDNs<\/h2>\n<p>To verify the issue, go to the website&#8217;s Staq Panel &gt; <strong>CDN<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-34083 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Staq-Panel-CDN.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"917\" height=\"442\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The website will either use:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Next-Gen CDN; or<\/li>\n<li>Traditional CDN<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Staq Next-Gen CDN<\/h3>\n<p>If there is a warning symbol, it will appear as per the screenshot below:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-34438 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/CDN-warning.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"620\" height=\"473\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Typically, under Next-Gen CDN, the type of errors that show are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dns zone is no longer managed by Staq;<\/li>\n<li>the domain <em>&lt;domain_name.com&gt;<\/em> no longer points to <em>aaaaaaaaawn<\/em>.cloudfront.net<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This occurs because someone has moved or altered the DNS from Staq to another DNS provider.<\/p>\n<p>To confirm, go to <a href=\"https:\/\/mxtoolbox.com\/SuperTool.aspx\">MX Tool Box<\/a> and type in\u00a0<em>example.com<\/em> (do not put https:\/\/www.) and select\u00a0<strong>DNS Check<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-34444\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/DNS-Check-MX-Toolbox.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"560\" height=\"286\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/DNS-Check-MX-Toolbox.png 560w, https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/DNS-Check-MX-Toolbox-300x153.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Then, compare the NS records that appear inside the DNS Zone which is accessible via Staq Panel:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-34447\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/DNS-Zone-Staq-Panel.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"859\" height=\"387\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/DNS-Zone-Staq-Panel.png 859w, https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/DNS-Zone-Staq-Panel-300x135.png 300w, https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/DNS-Zone-Staq-Panel-768x346.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 859px) 100vw, 859px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When you compare the NS records inside <strong>DNS Zone<\/strong> and MX Tool Box, do the NS records match?<\/p>\n<p>If no, that means the DNS was moved away from Staq. That means that Next-Gen CDN will fail to work soon in the future after the SSL certificate expires.<\/p>\n<p>If the DNS Zone cannot come back to Staq, delete the deployment of Staq Next-Gen CDN and advise the DNS manager to use the A records of the server which is found inside <strong>Domains<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-34450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Domains-Staq-Panel.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"830\" height=\"334\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Domains-Staq-Panel.png 830w, https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Domains-Staq-Panel-300x121.png 300w, https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Domains-Staq-Panel-768x309.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 830px) 100vw, 830px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-34451\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Retrieve-IP-under-Domains.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"443\" height=\"111\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Retrieve-IP-under-Domains.png 443w, https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Retrieve-IP-under-Domains-300x75.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 443px) 100vw, 443px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Traditional CDN<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-34439\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Traditional-CDN-issue.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"620\" height=\"473\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Typically, under Traditional CDN, the type of errors that show are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The cdn domain does not point to aaaaawn.cloudfront.net<\/li>\n<li>Possible issues found in the domain validation process<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>The CDN Domain does not point to &#8230;<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>This occurs due to someone has modified the DNS. To confirm, go to <a href=\"https:\/\/mxtoolbox.com\/SuperTool.aspx\">MX Tool Box<\/a> and type in <em>cdn.example.com<\/em> (do not put https:\/\/) and select <strong>DNS Lookup<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-34453\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/cdn.example.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"545\" height=\"174\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/cdn.example.png 545w, https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/cdn.example-300x96.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 545px) 100vw, 545px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Does a record show? If not, it has been deleted if it once existed before.<\/p>\n<p>This is the guide to set <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/knowledgebase\/how-to-setup-cdn\/\">Staq Traditional CDN<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Possible issues found in the domain validation process<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>If you see a warning symbol like the screenshot below, this means that either:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the validation CDN in Step 1 has been deleted<\/li>\n<li>the second verification process in Step 2 has not been completed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/CDN-warning-1.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You have to complete the entire step for the Traditional CDN to work.<\/p>\n<h2>Domain name has expired<\/h2>\n<p>To confirm, go to the Domains section inside the site&#8217;s Staq Panel (Staq dashboard):<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Domains-Staq-Panel.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Is there a warning symbol with the message, &#8220;<strong>IP couldn&#8217;t be resolved<\/strong>&#8220;?<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/domain-expired.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To further investigate, go to a whois domain search such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Australia: https:\/\/whois.auda.org.au\/<\/li>\n<li>USA and other countries: https:\/\/whois.godaddy.com\/<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>and search for the domain.<\/p>\n<p>Under\u00a0<strong>Domain Status<\/strong>, if it says\u00a0<strong>Expired<\/strong>, then, you&#8217;ll have to renew the domain name for the site and DNS to work again.<\/p>\n<h2>How to Temporarily Disable CDN Without Deleting It<\/h2>\n<p>If you wish to temporarily disable the CDN feature without deleting it (useful while waiting for a third party to add CDN entries for Traditional CDN), you can achieve this by adding specific details to the <strong>WP Config File<\/strong> section inside the Staq Panel.<\/p>\n<h3>Steps to Disable CDN Temporarily:<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Access the WP Config File<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to the site&#8217;s Staq Panel.<\/li>\n<li>Navigate to <strong>WP Config File<\/strong>:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-37018\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/wp-config-file.png\" alt=\"WP Config File in Staq Panel\" width=\"1124\" height=\"679\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/wp-config-file.png 1124w, https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/wp-config-file-300x181.png 300w, https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/wp-config-file-1024x619.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/wp-config-file-768x464.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1124px) 100vw, 1124px\" \/><\/li>\n<li><strong>Add Configuration Entries<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Click <strong>Add<\/strong> and add the following two separate entries:\n<ul>\n<li>Under &#8220;Name&#8221;, insert <strong>S3_UPLOADS_CLOUDFRONT_DOMAIN<\/strong> and under &#8220;Value&#8221;, add <strong>false<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Under &#8220;Name&#8221;, insert <strong>S3_UPLOADS_CLOUDFRONT_DIST_ID<\/strong> and under &#8220;Value&#8221;, add <strong>false<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It should look like this:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-37019\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/add-wp-config-entry.png\" alt=\"Add WP Config Entry\" width=\"558\" height=\"395\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/add-wp-config-entry.png 558w, https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/add-wp-config-entry-300x212.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 558px) 100vw, 558px\" \/><\/li>\n<li><strong>Verify and Save Changes<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>After adding both entries, the configuration will look like this:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-37020\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/output-click-save.png\" alt=\"Output -
