Each website has one SFTP login. Please note, we now have a File Manager. For file sizes under 512MB, you can use the File Manager inside the Staq interface (how to access File Manager<\/a>.). For larger file uploads, use FTP access. For a file of 512 MB or less, upload it in File Manager<\/strong> and skip an SFTP client. File Manager rejects a larger file. <\/p>\n

Connect<\/h2>\n

  1. Open the website in Staq Panel.<\/li>\n
  2. Stay on Files<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  3. Click Secure FTP<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. In FileZilla, or another SFTP client, set the protocol to SFTP – SSH File Transfer Protocol<\/strong>. Plain FTP is not supported. The host uses an sftp:\/\/<\/strong> address.<\/li>\n
  5. Copy Host<\/strong>, Port<\/strong>, Username<\/strong>, and Password<\/strong> into the client. Use Show password<\/strong> if the password is hidden, then Copy<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    To land in one folder, open FileZilla’s Advanced<\/strong> tab and set Default remote directory<\/strong> to that path.<\/p>\n

    Can I upload without FileZilla?<\/h3>\n

    Yes. Open Files<\/strong>, then File Manager<\/strong>, then Upload File<\/strong>. The maximum size is 512 MB. A larger file uses Secure FTP.<\/p>\n

    Can I add another SFTP user?<\/h3>\n

    No. There is one login per website.<\/p>\n

    What does Generate New Password do?<\/h3>\n

    It replaces the password immediately. Anyone using the old password loses access until they save the new one. Confirm with Generate Password<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
