This section will guide you through how to add your domains to the Staq interface before you proceed to set up domain redirects or aliasing.\r\n<h3>Adding a New Domain<\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Navigate to the Staq Panel and select <strong>Domains:\r\n<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-3218\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/domains-1024x595.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"595\" \/>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Click the <strong>Add Domain<\/strong> button.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Enter your domain name in the provided field and hit <strong>Submit<\/strong>.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Your new domain will be listed in the Domains section. You can now configure it further, set up redirects, or proceed to other tasks.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h2>Redirect subpages to another page or domain<\/h2>\r\nIf you wish to redirect a particular page:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>to a different domain<\/li>\r\n \t<li>to a different page on the same site<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nthen, this is how you can handle <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/knowledgebase\/server-redirects\/\">server redirects<\/a>.\r\n<h2>Redirect domain to another domain scenario<\/h2>\r\nThis section relates to redirecting other subdomains or other domains to a primary domain. Others may refer to this process of setting an alias domain. Either way, the process to achieve this is below.\r\n\r\nFor example, you may have:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>www.test.com<\/li>\r\n \t<li>test.com<\/li>\r\n \t<li>lp.test.com<\/li>\r\n \t<li>test.us<\/li>\r\n \t<li>www.test.us<\/li>\r\n \t<li>www.example.com<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nand you wish to redirect the two links above to the primary domain, example.com.\r\n<h2><strong>The process<\/strong><\/h2>\r\nIt is a simple process to redirect domains to a primary domain inside the Staq interface.\u00a0<strong>Please note that this only works for websites that are currently live and not in dev\/staging mode.<\/strong>\r\n\r\nWith the website in question, go to Staq Panel and click Domains:\r\n\r\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-3218\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/domains-1024x595.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"595\" \/>\r\n<h3>Step 1<\/h3>\r\nClick\u00a0<strong>Add Domain<\/strong> and fill in the list of domains you wish to redirect to the <strong>Primary<\/strong> domain.\r\n\r\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-3221\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/add-domain-1024x446.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"446\" \/>\r\n\r\nIf the below steps have not been taken inside the respective DNS service, then a warning symbol will appear <em>as per the screenshot below<\/em>. To bypass this, see below to\u00a0<strong>Delay propagation<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-3222\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/warning-dns-1024x499.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"499\" \/>\r\n<h3>Step 2<\/h3>\r\nCopy the server IP address:\r\n\r\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-3220\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/copy-server-ip-1024x410.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"410\" \/>\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<h3>Step 3<\/h3>\r\nIn the above screenshot example, log into the DNS service for each of the following domains:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>example.com<\/li>\r\n \t<li>test.us<\/li>\r\n \t<li>test.com<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3>Step 4<\/h3>\r\nIf the domains in the screenshots do not exist, go ahead and create A records in the DNS. For example, go to the DNS of <strong>test.com<\/strong> and create:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><strong>A record (with TTL as 300 seconds or 5mins, recommended. Otherwise 1hour is fine)<\/strong>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>www.test.com <em>&#8212;&gt; pointing to the server address which is retrievable in Step 1, above<\/em><\/li>\r\n \t<li>test.com <em>&#8212;&gt; pointing to the server address which is retrievable in Step 1, above<\/em><\/li>\r\n \t<li>lp.test.com <em>&#8212;&gt; pointing to the server address which is retrievable in Step 1, above<\/em><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nIn our example above, repeat the process for:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>example.com<\/li>\r\n \t<li>test.us<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3>Step 5<\/h3>\r\nClick Save.\r\n<h2><strong>Delay propagation<\/strong><\/h2>\r\nEither Staq&#8217;s interface has not pinged the correct IP address at that very moment due to DNS propagation or you are waiting for a third-party to make the DNS changes, you can click <strong>Delay propagation<\/strong> which will bypass the interface and forcefully save the settings page.\r\n\r\nEvery few minutes, Staq will ping the domain&#8217;s IP address to ensure that it matches the server&#8217;s IP address.
