A file manager, or a third-party app sending an XML feed over SFTP, can fail to connect to the site. Most of these are fixed quickly. These steps show where to copy the host, username, port, and password so the connection works again.<\/p>\n

Did you use the correct port number?<\/h2>\n

The most common issue faced is incorrectly using the port number. Please make sure you’re using the correct port number. If all details applied to your FTP client is correct, and it still fails, you will need to regenerate a new SFTP password.<\/p>\n

Fix Secure FTP issues<\/h2>\n

  1. Open the website in Staq Panel.<\/li>\n
  2. Open Files<\/strong>, then Secure FTP<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  3. Click Generate New Password<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
