If the video loads correctly, the issue is likely related to JavaScript optimization or lazyload rendering.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Solution #1 \u2013 Exclude the Video from Lazy Loading<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Inside the backend of WordPress, click <strong>Staq Hosting <\/strong>&gt;<strong> Optimizer <\/strong>&gt;\u00a0<strong>Media<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Under the section <strong>\u201cExclude images &amp; videos from lazyloading\u201d<\/strong>, enter the video <strong>file name<\/strong> \u2014 not the full URL and not the Vimeo embed code:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-37685 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/lazyload-exclude.png\" alt=\"Exclude File from Lazyload\" width=\"1024\" height=\"443\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Example:<\/strong><br \/>\nIf the video is hosted on Vimeo and the embedded link looks like:<\/p>\n<pre><code>https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/progressive_redirect\/playback\/000000\/rendition\/1080p\/file.mp4<\/code><\/pre>\n<p>Then all you need to enter in the lazyload exclusion field is:<\/p>\n<pre><code>file.mp4<\/code><\/pre>\n<p>as per above screenshot and that\u2019s it! You do not need to enter the full URL \u2014 Staq will automatically detect it based on the file name.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Solution #2 \u2013 Disable Staq Lazyload (Use Native WordPress Instead)<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>If you prefer to let WordPress handle lazyloading instead of Staq Optimizer:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click <strong>Extra Options <\/strong>and toggle <strong>\u201cDisable Lazyload in WordPress core\u201d<\/strong> to <strong>OFF<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-37686 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wpstaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/wp-lazyload-toggle.png\" alt=\"Disable Lazyload in WordPress Core\" width=\"1024\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This will allow native WordPress lazyload to handle media, which often plays better with embedded videos and external media services like Vimeo.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Conclusion<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>This issue stems from frontend rendering conflicts caused by aggressive lazyload optimizations.
