We’ve just pushed a major set of updates across the Staq platform — all focused on improving performance, security, flexibility, and future-readiness for our agencies and power users. Here’s what’s new:

🛡️ Updated to Staq Firewall

In an AI-powered world, bots are getting smarter — and traditional bot detection services aren’t keeping up. That’s why we’ve upgraded the Staq Firewall. We’ve identified and blocked a botnet farm operating across 130,000+ unique IPs globally, resulting in a 20% drop in infrastructure-wide bandwidth and request load. This helps protect your sites without affecting legitimate visitors and incurring additional resources and costs.

🔧 Git Environments – Now Full Site Support

In 2023, we introduced Git support for plugins and themes. We now support entire WordPress sites in Bitbucket or GitHub repos! This opens the door to more advanced dev workflows and staging environments. View Knowledge Base Article

🔐 Whitelist IP Address for Login Page

Our WPS Hide Login replacement just got a boost. You can now whitelist specific IPs or IP ranges to access your login page, adding another layer of brute-force protection. View Knowledge Base Article

🧪 Blank Staging Sites

Need a clean slate? You can now create blank staging sites – perfect for redesigning or building from scratch. This adds flexibility to how you manage dev workflows. View Knowledge Base Article

🧠 VueJS Integration – Headless WordPress Coming Soon

You can now connect your Staq sites to a third-party VueJS environment, ideal for hybrid or headless WordPress builds. Currently, Staq acts as a proxy and is great for sites that use a hybrid VueJS and WordPress setup.

This update paves the way for future VueJS + Node hosting on Staq infrastructure which means we will be automating the process along with hosting (nodeJS) Headless WordPress sites directly on Staq very soon!

📨 SendGrid IP Access Management

We now integrate with SendGrid’s IP Access Management. Staq automates the syncing of your office/home IPs and our server IPs into your SendGrid account, reducing risks and boosting deliverability. If you get locked out, you’re covered and can act via the Staq dashboard! View Knowledge Base Article
