Installing \”WP Mail SMTP Pro\”

On this page

WP Mail SMTP Pro adds the Pro mailer, including logging. Where the license goes depends on how the website sends mail.

Enter the license on Global SMTP

Use this when the website sends mail with Global SMTP. The license field is on that settings page.

    1. Go to Global Settings.
    2. Stay on Website Defaults.
    3. Click SMTP.
    4. Under WP Mail SMTP Pro, enter License key. That key is only for the Pro plugin.
    5. Click Save Changes.

    Use SendGrid without that license

If the website uses SendGrid instead of Global SMTP, do not put the license on SMTP Settings. Install WP Mail SMTP Pro so Staq can see the plugin. See SendGrid.

    1. Go to Global Plugins.
    2. Find WP Mail SMTP.
    3. Turn on Must Install. New websites get that plugin. Staq can then see it.
    4. Must Install will add the plugin to websites you already have. On those sites, install WP Mail SMTP Pro from the website Plugins page.

On Global Settings → SMTP, in WP Mail SMTP Pro. The mail server itself is SMTP for WordPress.
