FTP Access

Each website has one SFTP login. Please note, we now have a File Manager. For file sizes under 512MB, you can use the File Manager inside the Staq interface (how to access File Manager.). For larger file uploads, use FTP access. For a file of 512 MB or less, upload it in File Manager and skip an SFTP client. File Manager rejects a larger file. 

Connect

1. Open the website in Staq Panel.
2. Stay on Files.
3. Click Secure FTP.
4. In FileZilla, or another SFTP client, set the protocol to SFTP – SSH File Transfer Protocol. Plain FTP is not supported. The host uses an sftp:// address.
5. Copy Host, Port, Username, and Password into the client. Use Show password if the password is hidden, then Copy.

To land in one folder, open FileZilla’s Advanced tab and set Default remote directory to that path.

FAQ

Can I upload without FileZilla?

Yes. Open Files, then File Manager, then Upload File. The maximum size is 512 MB. A larger file uses Secure FTP.

Can I add another SFTP user?

No. There is one login per website.

What does Generate New Password do?

It replaces the password immediately. Anyone using the old password loses access until they save the new one. Confirm with Generate Password.
