Does Staq offer annual billing?

On this page

    Introduction

Occasionally, we get asked if we offer annual billing. We appreciate the need for transparency and predictability in your billing arrangements. However, due to certain constraints tied to our system being powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS), we are currently unable to offer annual billing plans. This article will explain our billing practices in more detail, breaking it down into two sections: charges to our users (i.e., digital agencies), and, via Staq Billing, charges to the digital agency’s clients.

Part 1: Charges to our direct users (i.e. Digital Agencies)

Staq is committed to offering as much fixed fee predictability as we can to our digital agency users. Our charges are based on the usage of our platform, resources consumed, and any additional services utilized. We endeavor to maintain fixed fees where possible to give you cost certainty and help you manage your budget effectively.

However, the very nature of digital content can sometimes make fixed fees challenging. For example, a website hosted on Staq might go viral unexpectedly, resulting in a spike in traffic and resource consumption. This sudden increase in resource usage would result in additional charges, which fall outside of the regular, fixed-fee billing. If we offered annual billing would put us at a disadvantage in this scenario.

Part 2: Digital Agency’s Clients Charges via Staq Billing

For this very reason, the Staq Billing system is also charged monthly.

You can use another process to charge your clients annual fees but please note that you’ll need to monitor their excess charges (if any) and you may need to contact your client to pay additional fees if they go beyond their current plan.

Since this requires manual work, that’s why we created Staq Billing; to automate this process.

If you wish to create an automated WordPress Billing system using Staq Billing, this knowledge base is the guide to follow.
