How to enable Maintenance Mode

    Maintenance Mode is now inherently built into our system, removing the need for third-party plugins. This guide will show you how to enable and disable Maintenance Mode on your WordPress site hosted on Staq.

    Steps to Enable Maintenance Mode

    1. Log into WordPress: Access the WordPress backend of your site.
    2. Navigate to Staq Hosting plugin: Click on Staq Hosting > Advanced, and then select Maintenance.
    3. Enable Maintenance Mode: Toggle the “Enable Maintenance Mode” switch to activate Maintenance Mode:

    Once enabled, public users will see the following maintenance screen:

     

    This feature will apply Maintenance Mode site-wide, ensuring that no front-end content is accessible to visitors.

    Customizing Maintenance Mode

    While in Maintenance Mode, you have the option to customize the header text and body text displayed on the maintenance page. However, please note that the image displayed cannot be changed.

    Access During Maintenance Mode

    While Maintenance Mode is active, you can still log into the WordPress backend to perform updates or other tasks. The Maintenance Mode setting only affects the public-facing portion of the website.

    Steps to Disable Maintenance Mode

    1. Return to Staq Hosting: Navigate back to Staq Hosting > Advanced > Maintenance.
    2. Disable Maintenance Mode: Toggle the “Enable Maintenance Mode” switch to turn it off.
