    Generate SendGrid API Key

    • Under Settings, click API Keys and then Create API Key
       Create API Key

    • If done correctly, you should see a Verified status:SendGrid Verified

    Assign SendGrid to a Website

    Using the GoLive Process

    • When taking a website live via the GoLive process, you’ll find the SMTP process in Step 5.
    • If using Staq DNS or Cloudflare integration, Staq will automatically enter the DNS records. If not, you will need to manually add the records if you select the Third Party method:Go Live Automated
    • In Step 5, when you click Add Domain, it will authenticate the primary domain in Step 2 inside SendGrid:Authenticate SendGrid

    If Selecting Third Party

    • In Step 1, if you selected Third Party, manually enter the DNS entries by clicking View DNS Records:View SendGrid DNS
    • Copy the host and value into your DNS service. Wait at least 1 minute, then click Verify DNS Records:Insert SendGrid DNS Entries

    Verification

    • After SendGrid confirms verification, you will see a green label. Check both your DNS provider and SendGrid for the created entries.
    • You can now set the from email and from name. The “From Email” is the address that will appear for emails sent after a contact form submission. It does not need to be a valid email, as SendGrid authenticates the domain.
