How to add/update client’s credit card

Use this when a client needs a new card for the payments you charge them. Staq shows the brand, the last four digits, and the expiry. Stripe keeps the full card number.

Open Credit Cards

1. Go to Clients, then Billing.
2. Find the client and open the row menu.
3. Click Credit Cards.

Add a new card

1. Click Add New Card.

Enter the card

1. Enter the card number, expiry date, and CVC.
2. Tick Default if this is the card you want to charge.
3. Tick I have read and accept the billing terms.
4. Click Add Card.

Let the client add the card

The client can enter the card from a secure link. Open the client row menu on Clients, then Billing.

1. Click Copy Profile Setup Link and send that link to the client.
2. Or click Send Setup Reminder. Staq emails the client the same link.

When you add a client, the popup includes Send profile setup email. If that is checked, the client gets the same email. See How to create a client and request for credit card details.
