IT company says they want to move DNS away from Staq. What should I say?

Firstly, the Staq DNS is powered by AWS Route53.
If your site is powered by Staq Next-Gen CDN, it is highly recommended that you keep the DNS inside Staq.
Why?
With Staq Next-Gen CDN, we’ve built a proprietary solution that creates your site into a semi-headless solution by pushing the cached HTML of the site into AWS CloudFront.
Our system communicates with AWS and issues certificates automatically and etc.
Even if the IT company managed the DNS in their own AWS account, it will not work based on the proprietary nature of our platform.
With that, it’s also connected to AWS WAF
It obviously has performance in mind.
By moving this to another third party DNS solution, you risk:
- having a slower DNS
- slower website
- less secure website
With Staq, you can provide access to the DNS from the Staq dashboard so they can still manage things
