Pricing: How Does Staq Charge?
At Staq, we believe in providing a powerful and flexible platform for your WordPress hosting needs.
Staging Sites
With our Pay As You Go/Grow plans (the default when you start a site on Staq), staging sites are free for up to 90 days. You’ll only start paying once the site goes live or at the end of those 90 days, whichever comes first.
This offer is great for genuine staging sites, but there’s a catch: our fair usage policy. If you’re only using Staq for development and hosting live sites elsewhere, this deal isn’t for you. In that case, charges begin from day one.
We’re all about mutual benefits. If you’re hosting live sites with us and investing in our platform, we’re more than happy to support your staging sites for free for up to 90 days. Just a heads-up: if you turn a live site back to “dev mode”, it’ll remain a paid site.
Plans
We offer two main pricing models to accommodate a range of requirements: “Pay As You Go/Grow” and “Custom Cloud Environment”.
1. Pay As You Go/Grow
Our “Pay As You Go/Grow” model is designed to scale with your needs and is an excellent choice for 97% of sites hosted on Staq. With this plan, you receive an allocation of resources that cover most average site requirements. These include:
- Up to 25,000 unique visitors per month
- Up to 10GB storage
- Up to 25GB bandwidth per month
- Up to 30 hours of compute CPU power
- Up to 25MB of Redis Object Cache
- Up to 256MB Memory (Thanks to Staq’s efficient infrastructure, this is equivalent to 512MB memory with conventional server configurations)
- Up to 10 PHP workers
- Up to 14 days backup retention (permanent backups will remain permanently at an additional cost)
- Up to 50 AWS CloudFront invalidations per day
If your website exceeds any of these allocated resources or if you require additional resources, such as more memory, PHP workers, or Redis caching, additional charges will apply. You can find these additional prices on our Pricing page.
Upgrading Plan to a fixed price
Under the Pay As You Go/Grow plan, if you or your client prefer a fixed price plan rather than paying for a base plan + additional resources, please contact our Support team and open a ticket by selecting the Billing option. In your ticket, include the following information
- Website URL
- request for a fixed price plan.
Our billing team will understand the average usage used over multiple months and will create a custom fixed price plan based on a new set of allocated resources.
2. Custom Cloud Environment
If you have specific requirements beyond what our “Pay As You Go/Grow” model provides, our “Custom WordPress Cloud Environment” could be the perfect fit. This model is ideal for websites with unique needs or higher resource demands.
To establish a WordPress High Availability environment, we start by understanding your unique needs through a Demo Call. We’ll discuss your requirements and future growth projections, then provide a proposal tailored to your specific needs.
Remember, the Staq system is built with power and flexibility in mind. Our goal is to accommodate your website’s needs today and as it grows in the future. No matter your site’s size or complexity, Staq is designed to handle it with efficiency and ease.
